THE ARTWORKS OF:

SUSAN NAYLOR

My family lived in Germany after the war in the 40's. When I was four an artist came to our house and made a drawing of me. I liked it. My Mother spent a lot of time sitting with me at my little table coloring with crayons. She helped me choose the colors, and showed me how to make the colors deep and rich. Opening a box even now sends my head spinning with that rich waxy scent. I made art all through 16 years of formal education and have continued to make thousands of drawings, prints and a few paintings during the last forty-four years of my life.  I do not write about my work, I just do it when I am able. It speaks for itself.
