I am a self taught quilter and avid collector of quilt-able fabrics.
Born and raised into a big mountain family in the heart of
Appalachia, my home was Big Stone Gap, Virginia where almost all of
my family still live , a small coal mining town. I went to East
Tennessee State, got married moved away, had a family, and wound up
in Greater Cincinnati. Quilting is my third career, after social
work and travel agencies; I am a late quilter . I read books, looked
at pictures, took quilting classes, and taught quilting classes. The
quilting takes me back to my cultural roots.
